Photographers! Can I ask your advice on cameras?
I'm looking to buy a high end point & shoot camera. Need something a bit smaller than a standard DSLR, and also hopefully a bit cheaper. Basically I want a good quality camera, with some/fully manual features, in a compact package. I love the colours produced by the Sigma DP1, but it's a little bit out of my price range. Then again, I've heard they're slow to take pictures, so might not be the best choice for me anyway.
Other cameras I've looked at include the Ricoh GR/GR 2, the Leica D-Lux 4 and the Lumix DMC-LX series. But I have no idea how to decide which would be best for me! Any thoughts, suggestions or recommendations would be much appreciated. For your information, I wish to use the camera for documenting my life etc, and also for artistic purposes.
