All About Foam Board – What's Right for You?

Foam Mounting Board Foam Board is the most common mounting board in the market today. Made of 3/16" thick foam board, these boards are sturdy enough to stand on their own for presentations and shows. Different styles of Foam Board include plain foam board, heat activated foam board, self-stick foam board, biodegradable foam board, and pouch boards. All styles are available in each black or white, as well as a variety of sizes to fit your exact needs. If you need a size that is not standard, that is no problem, because foam board can be custom cut to fit your needs.

Plain Foam Board:

Plain Foam Board is available in either white or black, and is 3/16" thick. The Foam Board is Plain, meaning that there is no adhesive on the board itself. This is the most common type of foam board because you can use your own adhesive to apply multiple applications in your own manner. For mounting on plain foam board using a roll laminator, you will need mounting adhesive to stick your documents to the board.

White plain foam board features a bright white clay coated surface on both sides. The core is resilient polystyrene with uniform thickness which resists dents and crushing. White plain foam board is strong and rigid, but amazingly light weight for easy transportation. The core has built in memory so that when cutting the boards, the edges will return to its original thickness.

Solid black plain foam board is the perfect solution when a black edge is desired along with a black surface. The black foam center is sandwiched between cap sheets of matte black coated paper. Black foam board has the same memory as the white foam board, making them perfect for cutting. This is a great board for photo mounting, presentations and other creative uses.

Biodegradable Foam Board:

Biodegradable foam board by the Gilman Brothers lets you keep your presentations eco-friendly. The earth friendly foam board looks, acts, and is used exactly the same as standard plain foam board. The only difference between plain standard foam board and biodegradable foam board is that when you dispose of the used product in a landfill, the biodegradable boards break down into a harmless compost in just 5 years while standard foam board takes approximately 450 years to fully decompose.

The Gilman Brother's Biodegradable Foam Board features a foam center, with 15% recycled content that is formulated with "bio resins". Bio resins cause discarded foam board to degrade in landfills once the foam is exposed to moist and bacteria rich environments; only environmentally harmless biomass compost remains. Self-Stick Foam Board:

Self-Stick Foam Board is durable and lets you easily mount your items without hot mounting equipment. Foam Boards feature a cold adhesive that is pressure sensitive so all you need to do is peel the cover, line up your print, and press down (or use a roller, called a brayer, for more even application). The high-tack adhesive on self-stick foam board is sticky to the touch and provides the maximum possible hold. Mounting Board sizes smaller than 16" x 20" are coated with a repositionable adhesive, so no need to worry about being off-center on your first try. 3/16" thick self-stick adhesive foam board is sturdy, lightweight, and easy to cut.

Pouch Board Foam Board:

Foam Board Pouch Boards are perfect for mounting large fine art media, limited edition posters, photo prints, and more. Pouch board is constructed from heat-activated foam board with a film laminate hinged to the top of each board to form an encapsulating pouch. You can mount and laminate in a single step, by simply sliding a print between the board and film, then feeding it through your heated pouch laminator. This method is quick, simple, and requires no training. Each board has a high-quality professional bond and rich finish.

Foam Board Pouch Board is made up of 3/16" foam board with low temperature adhesive that is safe for all inkjet and other prints. Too much hydrogen peroxide? HELP!!!?

so recently, i went long boarding and i fell...hard. i ended up scraping my elbows..stomach...and palms. i put hydrogen peroxide on all of it but i think i put too much on my elbow. i put hydrogen peroxide on it everyday, i have to mention my elbow wound is the biggest, and everytime i put peroxide on the elbow...it foams. i've been doing this for a week now. my skin kinda repaired, but it didn't scab so it looks REALLY pink right now..almost white. will my elbow scar? will it ever repair? any ways to recover my old skin tone? please help!

don't use hydrogen peroxide. its pretty much useless. just wash it with soap and water, keep it clean and it will heal just fine. hydrogen peroxide breaks up clots, so if you use it everyday, then it will will never have a scab.
so, stop using it. and wash it with soap and water.
